Nominations are being taken for several annual awards given at our Awards Banquet in January. Club members are encouraged to nominate other club members for the following awards. You may nominate for one or all the awards listed below. Please include the person's name and a description of why he/she is deserving of that award (no space limit). You may nominate a previous years winners if you would like to do so.
All nominations will be provided to the Award Committee to review, discuss and vote. All nominations are due by December 15, 2022

SERVICE CLUB AWARDS
LONG DISTANCE AWARD: recognize and express the club’s appreciation for the distinguished and dedicated service the recipient has rendered to the club over an extended period of years.

MOST VALUABLE CLUB MEMBER: recognizes a club member that routinely goes above and beyond serving in a variety of roles. If we have an outgoing President, he/she may be recognized for their service and leadership.

SPIRIT OF SCR recognizes and honors a member who champions SCR tirelessly and enthusiastically, but prefers to stay in the background, letting others bask in the spotlight. Nominees should have a track record of being a promoter of SCR and volunteering for club events.

ATHLETES OF THE YEAR
MALE RUNNER OF YEAR: brief overview of running and racing experience, how this individual has been involved in the running or tri club, the community and beyond. Nominees must be club members, should be involved in the club or community in some manner, please mention if he/she has been a positive role model for others to attempt a new distance or event, has coached others or overcome obstacles to reach a new level in his/her own running.

The award recognizes that individual's athletic accomplishments in terms of racing, improvement, or inspiration to others, or overcoming a challenge in the sport. Please mention if the nominee has been involved hosting the local triathlon OMT or helps train youth or other local athletes.
